Incarcerated and battling personal demons, he glimpsed a vision – a vision of a program that could transform lives, especially for those emerging from incarceration. Steven's own journey through the dark alleys of the law and substance abuse became the catalyst for God's Property Sober-Living Foundation.

Founded in 2012, our journey began with a profound purpose - to create a haven for individuals seeking to reintegrate into society after incarceration, with a particular focus on the South Central part of Los Angeles where Steven himself grew up. In the midst of his trials and tribulations, Steven recognized a need to bring recovery to the very communities society often overlooks – the hood, where hope can be a rare commodity.

Starting with just two houses, God's Property began its mission in the heart of South Central Los Angeles. Steven's resolute commitment was not to create an extravagant, overly expensive program but to establish a genuine, accessible path to recovery from substance abuse, mental health support, and successful reintegration into society post-jail.

Fast forward, God's Property has evolved into the largest non-profit 501(c)(3) organization specializing in substance abuse in Los Angeles. Our journey is woven with stories of triumph, resilience, and the transformative power of community support.
